VIIth annual competition of the ROSOMED society "Domestic innovations in simulation training"

The IX Congress of the Russian Society for Simulation Education in Medicine and the International Conference "Simulation Education in Medicine: Experience, Development, Innovation. ROSOMED-2020" will be held on October 14-16, 2020 in an online format. A traditional competition "Domestic innovations in simulation training" will be conducted as part of the event by the ROSOMED society.

The competition will be held among students, doctors, teachers, teams of educational, scientific and medical institutions, as well as simply talented inventors and innovators. We remind you that the developments of manufacturing companies are not considered.

Below is the list of the equipment eligible to take part in the competition:

• simulation training devices;

• simulation aids;

• simulators for hands-on training;

• simulation training software;

• e-learning programs for healtcare

Timing. Applications for participation in the Competition are accepted by mail at post@rosomed.ru until September 30, 2020. The subject line should read as follows: “For the competition of domestic innovations ROSOMED-2020”. The requirements for the application are described in more detail below.

As usual, the competition will be held in two rounds: selection and demonstration. Everything will be as before, with the exception of the format and platform for presenting the inventions.

In the first round, the Competition Commission will consider all submitted applications, from which the best works will be selected for presentation at the virtual exhibition.

Works that have passed the second round will be provided with a free stand, where the inventors can run a demonstration video for the device / program application, an interactive window with a presentation, and also answer questions through a feedback form.

The winners of the competition will be determined by the votes of the exhibition visitors. The award ceremony will be held online on October 16, 2020 at the final meeting of the ROSOMED-2020 conference.

Prizes

Based on the results of the voting, the first place, the second place and the third place will be awarded with a cash prize:

•          First place. Certificate, cash prize in the amount of 50,000 rubles

•          Second place. Certificate, cash prize of 30,000 rubles

•          Third place. Certificate, cash prize of 15,000 rubles

All applications that make it to the second presentation round will receive a Certificate and an incentive prize.

The application must consist of three sections:

1. A File in .doc / .docx format containing basic information about the invention:

1. The name of the invention;

2. The authors, the institution and relevant contact information;

3. Description of the invention, including its intended use  / educational goals achieved through its use, innovation elements / advantages.

2. A video demonstrating the functionality of the invention (link to the file in the cloud or on youtube / vimeo). Video requirements: duration not more than 3 minutes, resolution 1280x720 or higher.

3. Presentation with the description of the invention (slide presentation * .ptx or in Adobe * .pdf format, 10 slides or less, no video, no animation, maximum size 20 MB.
